Thanksgiving Turkeys 2016

This year we are proud to offer Mary's Free-Range Turkeys for your Thanksgiving Dinner. We have been very impressed with the quality of these turkeys over the years! Be sure to reserve your turkey as early as possible, as they tend to sell out quickly. Here are the birds we'll have available:

Mary's Free-Range Turkey (frozen)
Sizes: 8-12 lbs. or 16-20 lbs.
Price: $4.00/lb.

Mary's Free-Range Non-GMO Turkey (fresh)
Size: 12-16 lbs.
Price: $4.50/lb.

Mary's Free-Range Organic Turkey (frozen)
Size: 12-16 lbs.
Price: $5.75/lb.

Please call 503-580-2936 to reserve your turkey. We require a $25 deposit, with the remainder due when you pick up your bird. Expected arrival is the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Our Standards

As we grow our business, we regularly find ourselves explaining our philosophy and principals to customers. We believe our kitchen is delivering the highest quality food in Salem. But for Rafns' to succeed, we need to be better about communicating how we operate and what separates us from other restaurants. So here it is, in a nut shell:

What we do:
We use certified organic olive oil and butter.
We use organic, cage-free and free-range eggs.
We use meats that are drug-free and humanely-raised.
We make our own gelatin-rich bone broth.
We use organic coffee, tea, and chocolate from local suppliers.
We use organic produce from local farmers and purveyors, with very few exceptions.
We compost all of our food waste, paper towels, and paper napkins.
We take pride in the cleanliness of our kitchen.

What we don't do:
We don't use MSG.
We don't use highly-refined or hydrogenated oils.
We don't use Teflon or synthetic cookware.
We don't have a microwave in our kitchen.
We don't use genetically modified ingredients.

Rafns' Restaurant transitioning to dinner only in June

MAY 2016

After careful consideration we have decided to discontinue lunch service at the end of May and focus completely on dinner. Our last lunch service will be May 27th.

We're planning to close for a light remodel, Memorial Day through June 2nd, and reopen on Friday evening, June 3rd. When we reopen, you can expect to see an expanded wine list and, for the first time ever at Rafns', cocktail service! We're also very excited to introduce fresh, house-made pasta to the dinner menu! Our new dinner hours will be 5-9pm Tuesday through Saturday beginning June 3rd. Reservations are recommended by calling 503-580-2936.

We really appreciate all of you who've supported us over the last 3 years. We couldn't do it without you! And we sincerely hope you'll continue to support us as our business evolves.
