Our proprietary brine mix creates a delightfully complex and woodsy seasoning for Thanksgiving turkey! You'll need a large food-grade plastic container and enough refrigerator space to store it overnight.
For the Brine
1 package Rafns' Poultry Brine mix
2 quarts boiling water
6 quarts ice water
1 food-grade plastic container, big enough to fit your turkey
Add the brine mix to the 2 quarts boiling water and turn off the heat. Stir to dissolve. Allow hot water to cool to room temperature.
Meanwhile, pour 6 quarts ice water into a food-grade plastic container. Pour the seasoned water through a fine mesh strainer into the ice water.
Remove turkey from packaging and submerge in the brine. Store in the refrigerator for 12-18 hours.
Remove the turkey and pat dry with paper towels. Your turkey is now ready for the oven!
